Het quarantainegebouw deed in de 19e eeuw dienst als observatorium. Scheepvaarders met koorts werden er verplicht in quarantaine opgenomen, uit vrees voor uitbraken van de zeer besmettelijke gele koorts.

Een hele mooie ruwe locatie. Waarbij je zowel het oude gebouw als de natuur mooi in beeld krijgt.

The quarantine building served as an observatory in the 19th century. Sailors with fever were compulsorily quarantined there, for fear of outbreaks of the highly contagious yellow fever.
A very nice rough location. Where you get both the old building and nature beautifully in the picture.
